Something is blocking my wheel...

For some reason, the dog likes to lie right in front of my wheel. Did I show you what is on my wheel?

I am totally in love with pencil roving - specifically Corriedale pencil roving from Crown Mountain Farms. This colourway is Berry Pie and that is exactly what it reminds me of - makes me think of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries. Oh, my, I can't wait until berry picking season. And the pencil roving makes it so easy to spin. No predrafting required.

I finished dropping all the stitches on Clapotis. I ended up adding some stitches to make it wider and did an extra repeat in the length. The length, however, would have been plenty long without the extra repeat, but I'm glad I made it wider. I will show some pictures, but please keep in mind that I don't have a photographer that makes me look as great as this or this.

Instead you have to settle for these.

I think my next shawl will be Wing of the Moth in some Jaeggerspun Zephyr from the stash. If I run into problems, I know someone else who has made one or I think I could email Anne for help.

Nice clap! Wing of the Moth is great in the zephyr but it will be smaller than some of the others. It's a fabulous pattern!

Your Clapotis is beautiful. I think I am the last person on Earth that hasn't knit it, but just today, I've been a hankering. What yarn did you use? Any suggestions? I'm not into $120 for a shawl and am looking for a lion&lamb alternative

I do adore that pencil roving . . . and I just had a bump of it arrive at my house today! This is my third batch and I just love it--great stuff for spinning and so, so pretty, all the colors . . . (drool)

Beautiful Clapotis! I just recently bought the yarn for one too. I like it wider like you made yours. How many stitches did you add? It's very pretty.

I LOVE CMF's pencil roving. LOVE IT!

nice clapoits! i haven't made one either . . . too busy! you can TOTALLY email me if you need help knitting your moth; i love hearing from users. as carol says, it will be a lot smaller if you use the jaggerspun, but from those i've seen, equally pretty!
and i must try the pencil roving; i have the merino superwash and love it.

Clapotis looks great!

And Corriedale Pencil Roving spins like a dream. In fact when I've done spinning demos at the Montessori school or the Arts Fest that is what I spin -- easy peasy!
